Coming out of the Closet!

Although I have not yet worked up the courage to admit this to most of my right-wing buddies, I secretly want Hillary to win in 2008, and hope this blog will be a place for like-minded people to gather in support of this very bizarre goal. Part of what made me think about coming out is seeing Jonah Goldberg's column "Inherit the Wind: What if it Takes a Democrat" last week. His basic point is something I had been thinking about for a while, that having the presidency might force Democrats to grow up and take responsibility for the War on Terror. I harbor serious doubts as to whether most of the Democratic field could or would, but I really think Hillary would take her job as Commander-In-Chief seriously, and would help pull the Democratic party back from the brink of kook-dom and into the 21st century. My fellow travelers, I'm sorry if this seems heretical and insane, I admit it is a little of both, but I feel that it is right so I'm going to blog ahead. Welcome and enjoy your time here.
